I just checked for updates earlier today () and have tried shutting the phone off and turning it back on - not just restarting, but actually leaving it off for about half an hour. I am running Android version 8.0.0, Samsung Experience version 9.0, happy to provide other details though I don't know what would be useful. The device has also been unusually warm, to the point I have been worried about it overheating though I have yet to receive any alerts for that.
